It has been months since the arrest of Mr. 442—one of the most popular and controversial Hausa hip-hop artists—by Niger Republic security forces while trying to obtain illegal passports.

He was arrested along with his buddy, Ola of Kano, also a Hausa hip-hop artist.

Some Hausa hip-hop musicians who are close to Mr. 442 are the ones who released this single, “Hali” (mp3 download), which was already sung by him prior to his arrest.
